What Are the Newest iPhone Emojis?
One of the greatest ways to communicate online is using emoticons, and Apple updates iOS with new emojis every year. Even in 2024, with iOS 17, everything remains the same.
Introducing iOS 17.4’s New Emojis
Among the many additions to iOS 17.4 are new emojis. A total of 118 new emojis were published by Apple in March 2024 with iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4, but the six listed below are the ones that people are most likely to be interested in trying out.
Emoji for lime
So many people want a lime emoji that a Mexican restaurant called Lime Fresh Mexican Grill filed a petition on change.org to get one.
There is now a lime emoji available on iOS, which is great news for anybody who has ever wanted to include lime in a recipe but had to settle for the lemon emoji instead.
Mushroom emoji with a brownish hue
The brown mushroom emoji is another addition to the Food & Drink category that was accepted by the Unicode Consortium in 2023. Although many like the old red-and-white mushroom emoji, the new one better represents actual mushrooms.
Emoji representing the phoenix
The phoenix, a legendary bird from Greek mythology, also has its own emoji that Apple released. Reincarnation and new beginnings are symbolised by the emoji.
Emoji for a broken chain
Searching for the right emoji could be a challenge if you ever need to metaphorically portray a severed connection. Luckily, a broken chain emoji is included in iOS 17.4.
Horizontal Shaking of the Head Smack Emoji
Two more emojis have been added to the smiling category for iOS. The horizontally shaking head emoji is one of them; it’s the most polite approach to politely decline an offer.
